Busby Junk Removal has been around since 2005, providing the best junk removal services to the people of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. But did you know that the history of the Busby family business can be traced back to the early 1900s? Yes, the Busby family has a long and fascinating history you may have yet to learn about. In this article, look at the Busby family history and see how they have influenced the junk removal business.

The Busby family business has a rich and fascinating history that stretches back over 100 years. The story starts with Alvin C. Busby, a blacksmith who moved his shop from Bakersfield, California, to Ellensburg, Washington, in 1912. There, he continued to provide his customers with much-needed services such as shoeing horses, repairing and producing farm tools, and installing rims on buggy wheels. Eventually, Alvin’s son, Alvin Glenn Busby, joined the family business, working alongside his father and expanding the business into new areas, such as manufacturing automatic coal stokers. Today, the Busby family business is known for its commitment to quality and long-standing reputation as a trusted farm equipment and supply provider.

In 1952, Alvin C. Busby’s grandson, Gene Busby, was apprenticed into the business. The Busbys’ business continued to grow; in 1975, they outgrew their hometown facility and moved to Moses Lake, Washington, settling near the former Larson Air Force Base. Busby, Inc. continued to expand, fabricating snowplows and equipment for the Department of Transportation, pony trailers, drill rigs, and substructures for the North Slope.

Unfortunately, Busby, Inc. closed its doors in 1983 due to economic hardship. However, the Busby family did not let this stop them from pursuing other ventures. Twenty-two years later, in October of 2005, Busby Junk Removal opened its doors and continued emphasizing recycling.
